On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

The justification of your group sizes is a key part of good experimental design and, when it comes to the use of animals in research, a large part of the ethical justification for their use. This workshop will cover how to construct a justification of animal numbers section for grant applications to the major UK funders as well as give advice on related PPL questions. This will include estimating experimental and breeding numbers as well as addressing points on experimental design. We will also discuss why this renewed focus on good experimental design is important and what you can do to make sure you meet the expectations of funders and reviewers.
Another session is available on Tuesday 30 November 2 – 4pm and you only need to come along to one of the offered dates, so pick the one that suits you best. We also hope to offer these regularly, so there will be future opportunities to attend.
Please email chris.barkus@nc3rs.org.uk to register.
