Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. There is now a large body of evidence demonstrating the important role peoples’ values play in their support for climate policies and their willingness to adopt low carbon behaviours. In this workshop we will explore elements of effective climate communications, as well as how the ‘Britain Talks Climate’ toolkit can be used to create powerful values-based engagement strategies. The workshop will focus in particular on the ways in which the connections between trust, values and stories that resonate offer opportunities to broaden, deepen and sustain engagement with climate action.
