Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
The #StartedinOxford Demo Day 2020 is a celebration and showcase of the Oxford-linked entrepreneurship community, and will be held online on Wednesday 18 November 2020. This event will bring together some of the startups, spinouts and social enterprises, and key support organisations, linked to the University of Oxford or Oxford Brookes University (students, staff or alumni), or based in Oxfordshire.
In previous years, we have come together in Oxford, with 20-30 startups and over 300 registered attendees mingling and chatting over the course of an evening. This year we will be virtual, meaning that there will be even more hand-picked companies to meet and engage with in a freshers’ fair style virtual setup. The fair will be open for almost 24 hours, with sector-specific sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities to hear the startups pitch live throughout the UK workday.
