Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Dr Jasmina Panovska-Griffiths is a Lecturer in Probability and Statistics at The Queen’s College and a Senior Research Fellow at the Pandemic Sciences Institute at University of Oxford. She has mathematics and statistics background and a track record in modelling infectious diseases including HIV, measles, seasonal and pandemic influenza and more recently COVID-19. Her multidisciplinary group, across the Pandemic Sciences Institute at University of Oxford and the UK Health Security Agency, uses mathematical and statistical modelling to inform policy with a focus on outbreak analyses, pandemic preparedness and evaluation of different immunisation policies.
