Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Once Oxford Events launches, you will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
How do our personal experiences (or lack thereof) with religious faith and practice shape our study of medieval texts? How do our experiences of study differ and intersect according to our varying (non-)religious identities?
This will be a cosy facilitated discussion in a safe space. People of all faiths and none (especially those with non-Christian identities!) are all incredibly welcome. (Optional) snacks provided :)
NB: We tried to schedule this event to accommodate as many people’s religious observances (Ramadan iftar/taraweeh, Sunday services) as humanly possible. We are aware, however, that this event falls on Shabbat; as far as we are aware, there won’t be any work (carrying, operating electrical items etc) involved for attendees. However, we are keen for all who want to attend to be able to attend, so if this would pose an issue, please do let us know in advance and we can adapt things.
