Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Seminar 3 explores debates about the ontology of the modern state, the genealogy of modern ideologies, and the relationship of both to the Islamic tradition of political thought.
The Oxford Islam and Justice Programme aims to provide a grounding in the academic and ideological debates surrounding the relationship between Islamic views of justice and the modern liberal order. It comprises five 2-hour seminars, with associated readings, in Michaelmas 2024, taught by leading academics in the field.
