OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Doctor Faustus is a radical reworking of Marlowe’s iconic play about power, greed, and sin.
Step into a world of lies and façade.
See justice exercised in real time.
Doctor Faustus, written by Christopher Marlowe, with new writing by Seb Carrington and additional material by Lily Zhang, is a cautionary tale, scarily relevant in a time of a worldwide political trend towards the right. It tells the story of a man who sells his soul to the devil in order to gain “omnipotence”. In this spectacular, radical new production, the terrifying and potent relevance of Marlowe’s text is brought to the surface through an abstract, expressionist medium.
