On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

We are absolutely thrilled that world-renowned climate scientist and climate change communication leader Dr. Katharine Hayhoe will join us for an online talk about her new book “Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World.” Drawing on interdisciplinary research and personal stories, Hayhoe shows that small conversations can have astonishing results. Available now, Saving Us leaves us with the tools to open a dialogue with your loved ones about how we all can play a role in pushing forward for change.
In the session, we will discuss why talking about the climate crisis with our families, friends, and communities can be an extremely powerful and meaningful form of climate action. We will also explore her advice for effective climate communication and hear her thoughts about the outcomes of COP26.
This event is run in partnership by Oxford’s Talk Climate Change campaign and the Oxford Climate Society.
