On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Join us for a conference of women academics addressing the latest developments in state capacity and political economy. This full-day event will discuss cutting-edge developments in political economy and state capacity, bringing together women academics who will present their latest research.
Among our distinguished guests, we have the pleasure of hosting Professor Rema Hanna, Havard Kennedy School, who will be delivering the Keynote lecture.
The conference aims to: – Highlight recent advances and key debates shaping the field. – Provide a platform to foster connections among researchers, practitioners, and students. – Promote networking and collaboration, with a particular focus on supporting women researchers in political economy and state capacity.
Whether you’re an academic, an early-career researcher, or a curious student, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with innovative ideas and contribute to meaningful discussions about the intersection of state capacity and political economy
