On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Playwriting remained a life-long fascination and an influential, though critically long-neglected genre in Wharton’s career. The evidence suggests that at the turn of the century especially Wharton was as much – if not more – interested in seeking success as a playwright than as a novelist. Recently, in 2017, two scholars, Laura Rattray and Mary Chinery discovered a previously unknown, original, full length play by Edith Wharton called The Shadow of a Doubt. They will be joined by DPhil student Daniel Ibrahim Abdalla for a discussion of Wharton’s neglected writing in this genre.
