On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

What is energy?
How has it shaped our world?
How are ideas and practices around energy production and use evolving in our climate critical times?
Is energy intertwined with extractivism?
We invite colleagues from across disciplines to reflect briefly on such fundamental questions as energy, including green energy, take centre stage in debates around climate change and the future of the planet. We will start with brief contributions from our panellists then open the floor to different disciplinary perspectives.
This is an in-person event, and vegetarian/vegan lunch will be provided – registration is required.
