Multi-ethnic Christian communities are amongst the most ancient natives in the Middle East and the wider West Asia region. Four of the five most important hierarchical centres in Christianity are in this region, whose roots go back two millennia. While small in numbers relative to global Christianity, these communities have deep historical roots and rich literary and cultural heritage. The lecture seminars will highlight the various aspects of this rich history and heritage. These lecture seminars are the continuation of the series on contemporary Eastern Christian communities held during previous terms.
