Southeast Asia Studies Symposium

The 2016 Symposium will feature nearly 200 papers in 80 sessions over 3 days, on a wide variety of issues facing Southeast Asia, including on the environment, sustainable development, clean energy, public health, and governance. We expect over 300 delegates, including ambassadors of ASEAN states, and other representatives of Southeast Asian business and civil society. For the first time, the Symposium also incorporates two specialised sub-fora: the Southeast Asia Investment Forum, which aims to engage businesses with an interest in the region in issues including the ASEAN Economic Community, healthcare, and political risk; and the Southeast Asia Strategic Forum on Women, Business, and Economic Growth, which tackles gender equality in Southeast Asia.
