On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

The Oxford Diplomatic Society has recently received sponsorship from NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division to run a project this coming October (2023) entitled ‘NATO: Fit for Future?’. The project aims to explore and raise awareness of responsible, innovative and agile responses to this question in four key subjects: cyber defence, climate change, space; and NATO partners. We will be hosting a series of lectures and panels from distinguished speakers on these four subjects, which would serve as the springboard for a competition in which teams of students from across the University are charged with creating a presentation on the topic which has most fascinated them.
A final competition will be held, in which one team from a shortlisted few will be declared overall winner of the competition.
