Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. AI software is diagnosing cancer, babies can now be born with three parents, and we are exploring ocean depths that were once far beyond our reach. Just because we now have the ability to do these things, however, should we actually be carrying them out?
In this lecture series, we will look not only at the science of these new frontiers, but at the ethical and moral implications of the possibilities they present.
