On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Accessibility isn’t just for people with accessibility needs, it can benefit everyone. As of the 23rd September 2020, accessibility is now a requirement for all publicly owned organisations, making all editors of digital content responsible for making suitable media. In this seminar you will learn how to create fully accessible digital content, from documents to presentations, to webpages. There will be three key themes of accessibility starting from digital content followed public engagement presentations and exhibitions, and open data sharing. By the end of the seminar, you will be able to effectively use alt-text, captions, transcripts and know the best practices for writing accessible text.
