On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

At SoGE, we use systems thinking in varied forms to understand the complex dynamics of human-environment interactions. Our research has a broad range, spanning across water, food, energy, biodiversity, climate, marine protection and other areas – with cross-cutting themes of economic and social justice. The work is highly interdisciplinary within projects, but ongoing knowledge exchange between research groups is challenging. At this workshop we will come together to celebrate and strengthen the use of systems thinking and systems tools at SoGE. The SOGE research showcase will include presentations from the ECI Ecosystems Lab, the Oxford Seascape Ecology Lab, the Complex Human-Environmental Systems Simulation Lab, the Food Systems Transformation Programme, the REACH Water Security Programme, the SOGE Water Research Programme, the Energy Research Programme, and the Economics of Environmental Change Group. In the afternoon, we will be joined by systems-thinking leaders from the UK government to discuss the use of systems-based research in environmental governance decision-making.
