OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Amartya Sen is Professor of Economics and Professor of Philosophy at Harvard, and won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1998. In this online event, Professor Sen will discuss his latest book Home in the World. This memoir explores the meaning of the word ‘home’ and charts a path through the places and ideas that shaped him.
The conversation will be followed by an audience Q&A. Register to attend: amartya-sen.eventbrite.co.uk by midday on 5 November. Registrants will be sent a link to join the event.
