OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Join the ZERO Institute and its ECR Network for a networking reception to launch the Michaelmas Term Energy Nexus Series. Connect with early career researchers, senior academics, and leading practitioners in the energy sector. The series continues with fortnightly in-person and hybrid roundtables, institutional visits, and briefings on key themes at the intersection of energy technology, finance, and policy.
Format: – ZERO Institute welcome – Introduction to the ZERO ECR Network, the Oxford Energy Network and Energy Nexus Series – Tea reception and networking – Focus group activity and feedback session to establish future activities of the Series
The list of participants and contact details will be shared with those present at the reception to facilitate further connections and network-building.
Who will be attending? The event is open to all engaged in energy transition research and practice at the nexus of disciplines, including engineering, geography, policy, international development, and sustainable finance. The event will give an opportunity to engage with researchers and industry representatives spearheading energy transition policy, technology, and financing solutions.
