Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. In Uganda, 84% of the population does not have access to electricity. While electrification technologies are well-known and finance availability has greatly increased, electrification in Uganda is marred by several salient socio-political issues. This talk explains some of these problems, and suggests how they can be addressed in spatially explicit energy planning models.
