Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. As we contemplate what old age might have in store for us they can be no greater fear than the possibility of losing our memory. Modernity may have offered us longevity but at some threat to our well-being and flourishing. This paper will explore some of the theological issues raised by dementia: personhood and identity, mind and memory, body and soul and what it is that we value in human life.
