Improving animal experiments: the Experimental Design Assistant (Science Area)

The precise venue will be released a few weeks in advance of the event to those who have registered.

This seminar will introduce the principles of good experimental design, specifically when conducting experiments with animals, and demonstrate use of the Experimental Design Assistant (EDA). The EDA is a free web-based tool from the NC3Rs designed to guide you through the design of your experiments and ensure that you incorporate all elements of robust experimental design. Its use is now encouraged by all major UK funders as a way to demonstrate good design, so if you have applications coming up or just want to get familiar with this tool, this is your chance to get started with the EDA!

No prior experience is needed, but you can sign up for a free account at eda.nc3rs.org.uk

Please register with Chris on chris.barkus@nc3rs.org.uk

Please note that there is also a session on the same afternoon at the Old Road Campus.
