A two-week publishing freeze is expected to start before the end of Hilary Term to allow all future events to be migrated to the new platform. The ‘GTC Conversations on Care’ provide an opportunity to assess broad developments within the fields of health and social care. This ‘conversation’ will explore the concept of social capital and examine the conceptual underpinnings of a new approach and the relative significance and inter-connections between asset-based approaches and social capital. Professor Jon Glasby will outline practical attempts to translate these debates and concepts into new approaches to the delivery of adult social care as part of Birmingham’s work around ‘Turning the Welfare State Upside Down’.
