OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Ronald Trosper is professor of American Indian Studies at the University of Arizona and a leading scholar in the area of indigenous economics. Originally trained in economics—his PhD supervisors at Harvard were Kenneth Arrow and Albert Hirschman—he has also published in the fields of American Indian Studies, Ecological Economics, Policy Studies, Forestry and Anthropology. He is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Indian Reservation, Montana.
Prof Trosper will present parts of his recently published textbook (Indigenous Economics: Sustaining Peoples and Their Lands, 2022), where he argues for an economics based on relations of care, rather than an economics based on competition.
