OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Join us on Tues. Nov 26th as we hear from Dr Myles Harris. Myles is the CEO and Founder of Space Health Research which simulates the exploration of space to benefit life on Earth. Myles will be giving a presentation on analogue space missions, which enable research and training for space using extreme environments on Earth.
This is an especially exciting talk for anyone interested in space exploration and research, in having their research conducted by professional analogue astronauts, or who is looking to sign up to a unique expedition.
Myles is an Assistant Professor in Risk, Disaster and Humanitarianism at UCL. His research focuses on medical care and health risks in remote environments, including outer space. Myles is the Chairperson of the European Space Agency Lab, Heads of Space Themes at UCL.
