OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Four talks of approximately 20 minutes will be given, with time for Q&A and discussion between talks and at the end of the session:
1. Remote sensing of the impact of land change to climate and ecosystem services in tropical highland-lowland ecosystem in Taita Hills, Kenya (Prof Petri Pellikka)
2. Spatiotemporal clustering patterns and sociodemographic determinants of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) infections in Helsinki, Finland (Mika Siljander)
3. Emerging zoonotic viral infections in changing environment in Kenya (Dr. Essi Korhonen)
4. Seasonal distribution of Stegomyia aegypti and potential effect of house structure on the mosquito abundance in Taita Hills, Kenya (Dr. RuutUusitalo)
