A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Before they can be adopted into the NHS, new interventions and technologies are formally evaluated by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Cost-effectiveness is typically a key factor in NICE evaluations. Aimed primarily at early- and mid-career stage biomedical researchers, this symposium will provide an overview of the NICE health technology assessment process, together with economic case studies from the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), and the NIHR Oxford Health BRC.
The symposium will feature talks by leading health economists, biomedical researchers and a recent NICE Technology Appraisal Chair. It will conclude with a buffet lunch and networking opportunities.
