On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Whether you are considering a career in academia or elsewhere, making connections with people with experience in sectors that interest you can be hugely insightful.
The idea of networking can sometimes make us feel uncomfortable, but in this session we’ll explore how it can be a powerful research tool and help you to uncover opportunities. We’ll share practical tips and strategies on how to get started and highlight ways to network to add value to the development of your career ideas. Towards the end of the session we’ll focus on LinkedIn both as an incredibly rich resource for exploring options, and as a way to connect with people with shared interests. We’ll also cover tips on how to make your profile work for you and increase your visibility to potential recruiters.
This session is aimed at researchers – both DPhil students and Research Staff are welcome to join.
