Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.

Olivier Guez was born in 1974. He is a French graduate of Sciences Po Strasbourg and has since become a journalist and writer. In 2017, he published his novel The Disappearance of Josef Mengele for which he won the 2017 Prix Renaudot. This biographical novel retraces the story of the Nazi officer Josef Mengele, better known as the ‘Angel of Death’ working as a doctor at Auschwitz.
He will be in conversation with Nick Stargardt.
Nick Stargardt is Professor of History at Oxford University and is currently serving as Vice President of Magdalen College where he teaches modern European history. Starting out as a political and intellectual historian, his current research focuses on modern German history and the social and cultural history of Nazi Germany.
