OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
To commemorate the 25th year since the initial Nipah virus outbreaks in Malaysia and Singapore, the Pandemic Sciences Institute henipavirus programme is hosting a half-day hybrid seminar covering the history and pathology of the disease and current work being undertaken in Oxford including on the recent outbreaks in India and response to these. The programme will include two talks (delivered virtually) from global experts in managing NiV outbreaks and/or pathology of NiV. It will also feature early career researchers from Oxford, who will present on the work they are doing across topics from ethics to analysing vaccine efficacy.
