OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Madelon attended medical school and additionally obtained a master’s degree in ‘Infection and Immunity’, both at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
She remained in the same institute to pursue a PhD with Tom Cupedo studying bone marrow inflammation in Multiple Myeloma, and is currently in her final year.
Her research focusses on the mesenchymal stromal cell as a central orchestrator of a pro-tumor microenvironment that affects myeloma disease progression and therapy response.
