More than half of the world’s population live in cities where daily activities can release air pollutants harmful to health. The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation reports that air pollution is the 4th highest risk factor for death worldwide. Addressing this complex problem requires collective action and collaboration across sectors. Our panel of experts will discuss their work on air pollution monitoring methods and approaches for quantifying impacts on public health in the UK. They will also discuss mitigation strategies including active transportation and community resilience building.
