A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Synthetic control methods build on the popular difference-in-differences method but use systematically more appealing comparisons to address bias in policy evaluation studies. This talk provides a non-technical introduction to the approach and discusses recent methodological developments in the synthetic control literature.
