A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. You are warmly invited to attend our Exhibition in Christ Church Upper Library – Church, Crown and Civil Wars: The Book of Common Prayer.

Our exhibition celebrates Christ Church’s collection of early editions of the Book of Common Prayer, including Archbishop William Laud’s copy containing planned changes to the draft Scottish Prayer Book with Charles I’s signature authorizing Laud’s adaptations.
This in-person event will feature a brief talk by Professor Sarah Mortimer, Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Oxford.
