On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

To honour Professor David Sherratt’s recent retirement after 50 years as a PI, the Department of Biochemistry, University of Oxford is organising a one-day Symposium, ‘Journey of a Molecular Detective’, on Monday September 20th 2021 to which you are warmly invited. The Symposium aims to embrace Dave’s entire scientific career and we are hoping that as many as possible of his former students, postdocs, collaborators and associates will join us in this celebration. We have secured an impressive list of distinguished speakers to cover his Sussex, Glasgow and Oxford days. The Symposium will take place in the beautiful, newly extended New Biochemistry Building – the first event to be held here upon the completion – and will be followed by a drinks reception.
The Symposium will be streamed live online.
