Oxford Centre for Early Cancer Detection Symposium

On Tuesday 5th December 2023, join us to hear about the challenges and Oxford-based opportunities in early cancer detection, and how you can apply your research to this field.

We are delighted to have David Hunter (Oxford Population Health), Caroline Dive (Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute) and Samra Turajlic (Francis Crick Institute) as our keynote speakers and there will be sessions themed on:

  • Cancer Epidemiology, featuring Julia Hippisley-Cox, Ruth Travis and David Hunter
  • Working with Patients, featuring Steph Phillips and Miriam Dixon-Zegeye
  • Cancer Detection Using Liquid Biopsies, featuring Brian Nicholson, Anna Schuh and Caroline Dive
  • Early Cancer Biology, featuring Adam Mead, Simon Buczacki and Samra Turajlic

The Symposium will also feature lightning talks and an early cancer detection poster session (abstract submission deadline, 14th November; see guidance below). See the Oxford Centre for Early Cancer Detection webpage for a flavour of the research that will be presented.

The day will end with a drinks and canapés reception to give you an opportunity to network and build connections.

This free event is for members of Oxford University and OUHFT only.
