OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Events will begin at 14:00 (BST) on Friday 24 June at 56 Banbury Road (The Careers Service, across the road from 45-47 Banbury Rd), followed by a BBQ from 17:00 in the gardens behind 45-47 Banbury Road. Saturday 25 June will have a morning session from 10:00 and lunch at St Anne’s College.
All are welcome to join, whether online or in-person.
Cost for in-person attendance (includes Friday BBQ, Saturday lunch, and all other refreshments) is £23. There are a range of accommodation options in Oxford; you may want to make use of Oxfordshire’s tourism website or the college room booking service.
Cost for online attendance (via Zoom) is free, but pre-registration is required. Student and ECR SSHM members can apply for SSHM bursaries.
Speakers will include Margaret Pelling, Mark Harrison, Sloan Mahone, Pratik Chakrabarti, Samiksha Sehrawat, Erica Charters, Lindsey Fitzharris, Ludmilla Jordanova, Linda Bryder, Mathew Thomson, Paul Slack, Louella Vaughan, and many more.
