Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Are you unsure on how to secure employment in the UK? In this session, aimed for all students but particularly useful for international students, we will cover the essentials. We will explore what it is like in the workplace, unpick employment terms and phrases which can be confusing, and think about the strategy behind researching employers- including where and how to look for jobs and identify the roles that suit you.
We will also explore industry awareness. Employers are looking for employees who have good commercial awareness and knowledge about how their organisation works and the external factors that affect the way they run their business. We will cover practical steps on how you can grow your understanding of a particular sector and organisation, so you can navigate the job search and application process with confidence.
