OnThursday 13 Feb., the Global South Film Soicety at St. Antony’s is showing <Capernaum> (2018). In this internationally acclaimed Lebanese movie, a 12-year-old boy sued his parented for giving birth to him in a world of poverty and suffering. Meanwhile, we have invited Joumana Talhouk, who’s taking DPhil in International Development at Oxford, for a presentation themed “The Politics of Representing Poverty” before the screening.
