OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Admission is free but numbers are strictly limited because of Covid-19 and attendance will only be by preregistration with karen.leeder@new.ox.ac.uk on a first come first served basis.
James Hawes came to Oxford to study German and history at Hertford in 1978. ‘The Shortest History of Germany’ has been translated into over 20 languages and has sold 100,000 copies in Germany alone.
James has appeared on ARD’s Hart Aber Fair, shared a platform with CDU big beast Peter Altmaier, had a cover of the New Statesman and, most recently, appeared on Sky News to discuss the results of the 2021 election.
