On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Pragmatic and strategic land use is crucial for addressing many of today’s pressing challenges, including achieving net zero, restoring biodiversity, and ensuring sustainable food, transportation, and housing for a growing population. Yet, current land use for energy production is somewhat ad hoc and often conflicts with these other land uses. This seminar will explore the potential of a land use framework (LUF) to prioritise and reconcile different land uses in the UK and discuss how an LUF could ensure that land used for energy production supports broader objectives, going beyond just achieving net zero.
