Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. In celebration of the UN International Year of Glass, the Department of Chemistry is live-streaming a lecture-demonstration on Thursday 7 July, 14:40-15:45 (BST). Join Associate Professor of History of Science, Dr Catherine Jackson, and Master Glassblower, Terri Adams, as they uncover the role of glass-making in advancing the study of chemistry. This lecture-demonstration, which is being held in the Mary Ogilvie Lecture Theatre at St. Anne’s College, will include a live demonstration of glass-making.
