A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. In celebration of the UN International Year of Glass, the Department of Chemistry is live-streaming a lecture-demonstration on Thursday 7 July, 14:40-15:45 (BST). Join Associate Professor of History of Science, Dr Catherine Jackson, and Master Glassblower, Terri Adams, as they uncover the role of glass-making in advancing the study of chemistry. This lecture-demonstration, which is being held in the Mary Ogilvie Lecture Theatre at St. Anne’s College, will include a live demonstration of glass-making.
