In Hilary Term, the Anthropology Research Group at Oxford on Eastern Medicines and Religions (ArgO-EMR) will be examining the personification of pain in different religions focusing on the book of Job, Mesopotamian texts, Chinese piety books, and Medieval Japan’. The seminar promotes ethnographic research by students and scholars who are interested in the anthropology of Eastern medicines and religions.
