Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Nicholas Gaskill and Lloyd Pratt will be running a reading group on Jennifer Fleissner’s ambitious and wide-ranging new study of the novel (especially the US novel) and modernity. Prof. Fleissner will be coming to Oxford in Week 8 to discuss her work, and this reading group will offer an opportunity to engage with her highly-anticipated book in advance of her visit.Maladies of the Willranges over literature, philosophy, criticism, and political and social theory to offer an astounding example of what literary criticism can do.
