Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. The aim of this workshop is to challenge the narrative that interpolity relations from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century were dominated by a single, European, diplomatic tradition. We will explore the political foundations of interpolity relations among diverse societies in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, examining how they shaped and adapted their diplomatic practices during this period to influence global interactions.
