The 2022 HSMT Postgraduate conference will take place over two days, Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June in the Lecture Theatre, Faculty of History. The conference showcases the work in progress of our masters and first year DPhil students.
This will be the first HSMT postgraduate conference held in person since 2019. The group plans to present ‘A Theatre of Knowledge’ with a very eclectic mix of topics. These have been grouped into six broad areas namely Empire, Public Health, Memory & the Mind, Environmental Issues, Contesting & Shaping Science, and Technology and how it may affect the body. It will be opened by Professor Mark Harrison and each session will be chaired by postgraduates within the department. We hope it will prove to be a stimulating and thought-provoking conference.
This conference is organised and supported by the Oxford Centre for the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology, and the Faculty of History.
