Contemporary Medical Perspectives on Ageing

This seminar series explores some of the contemporary medical advances in ageing and regenerative medicine. An improved understanding of the mechanisms of the process of ageing is the prerequisite of trying to slow or reverse it, or decide if we even should. At the same time there is a fear that technological innovations are outpacing the structural and normative frameworks we have for dealing with individual and social medical costs and benefits. We bring together academics, medical practitioners, trial managers, bio-ethicist, insurers and medical tech entrepreneurs to explore these interconnected topics.
