Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Join us for a conversation with Prof Gillian Rose about the origins and criticisms of mainstream approaches to photo and visual ethics.
This event will encourage academics, practitioners and photographers to think more broadly about their ethical framework when using visuals or taking photographs.
Professor Gillian Rose is the Head of the School of Geography and the Environment at Oxford University. She is a world-renowned cultural geographer interested in visual research methods and visual ethics. Much of Gillian’s work draws on feminist theories of visualisation and the fourth edition of her book, Visual Methodologies, was published in 2016.
This event will be hosted on Zoom. We will send the log-in details ahead of the event to those that have signed up via Eventbrite.
