OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Emerging Minds is a UKRI funded mental health research network that has aimed to bring together academics from across disciplines with people with lived experience and people working across sectors to push forward research that has the potential to reduce the prevalence of mental health problems in children and young people. One of the first pieces of work that conducted within Emerging Minds was a stakeholder consultation to identify priorities for UK research, and all subsequent activities have been built around this. Specifically, these priorities focus on implementation of research to improve practice, addressing ‘complexity’, empowering young people and addressing societal attitudes that may have an impact on young people’s mental health, and supporting those who are able to support young people in their daily lives. Professor Creswell will talk about addressing the priorities both within Emerging Minds and through work on child anxiety problems in TOPIC research group. Professor Creswell will reflect on the experiences of working with families with lived experience of youth mental health problems, across disciplines, and across sectors, and highlight some important next steps for youth mental health research.
