Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Ali Maisam Nazary is the Head of Foreign Relations of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF), assuming the position after the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in 2021. The NRF, also known as the Second Resistance, is a military alliance of former Northern Alliance members and other anti-Taliban fighters loyal to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Before assuming this position, Mr Nazary worked as a liaison between various resistance groups and international organizations, facilitating aid and support to those fighting against the Taliban. Our event will focus on the state of Afghanistan under Taliban rule and Mr Nazary’s views on Western-Afghan relations post-2021. We look forward to hearing from one of the figures at the forefront of resistance to Taliban rule.
